Elegant Estates services the Ithaca, Cortland and surrounding areas and was founded in Lansing, New York in 1999 with a focus on unparalleled excellence in residential landscaping. As customer education and satisfaction is at the focus of our efforts, we strive to employ highly educated, friendly and responsible staff in order to make your landscape experience one of a kind.
We believe that education is of utmost importance when implementing a landscape project of any scale. Our company's owner holds a degree in landscape design and construction from SUNY Morrisville as well as a degree in plant science from Cornell University . We also employ design, installation and maintenance foremen with experience and education in the field of horticulture and turfgrass.
We have implemented continuing education for all staff members in order to keep up with our changing industry. Field and classroom training is done in house as well as through industry organizations. We have members of staff who are licensed pesticide applicators though the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, ICPI Certified concrete paver walkway and patio installers, NCMA Certified segmental retaining wall installers, and certified paver cleaners and sealers through Techniseal.
Elegant Estates is proud to be one of the few Belgard Authorized Contractors in New York State and Techo-Pro Contractors in North America. We are currently an Aquascape apprentice in pursuit of full certification. Fewer than 1% of all landscape contractors in North America have achieved our level of certification.
